Absolutely! I do offer workplace psychotherapy sessions, talks and workshops based in Lincoln City. If you are interested in that, book an appointment here.
In addition to a traditional session, I offer online services as well including personalized recordings for subscribed clients. You can check out the store or the library to see all the online services I provide.
No, unfortunately, due to no shows I now have to charge a £15 non-refundable consultation fee that can be offset against the first session booked.
I'm an integrative/transpersonal therapist so I tend to use various techniques with my clients
A lot of qualified psychotherapists are integrative which means that they can combine different forms of therapies to suit your individual needs. If you want that, you can book a session with me because I, myself, am an integrative psychotherapist. If you want to know what kind of therapeutic techniques I offer, see this ‘About Me’ page.
You need to understand one thing: your feelings are not trivial. If you feel like something is bothering you and it feels like an issue to you, you can talk it through with a professional psychotherapist to make sense of it. This way, you can resolve the issue before it becomes much bigger in your mind and cause serious psychological problems. Don’t worry, you will not be wasting anyone’s time.
Yes, it’s perfectly fine. You don’t need to be in some drastic psychological condition to see therapy. In fact, many people just come to gain some insight into what is going on inside their mind.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, just book an appointment because talking through your problems with a trained psychotherapist can provide you with some clarity.
There is no time limit when you are working on your personal development and growth. It depends on the changes you want to make in your life. It can take just a few sessions or it can take much longer. In fact, sometimes people choose the long-term therapy because they find it more beneficial. I don't however, tie you into a block booking in advance. I allow each client to book on a session by session basis.
What actually happens during a session can vary depending on the client.
Each session is 50 minutes long and you will meet, your therapist (me) at the same place at each appointment. If you need more intensive psychotherapy, you may choose to book two or three sessions per week. No drugs are involved in psychotherapy.
As to what happens during the session, I will ask you different questions to get you to open up about your issues and guide you to the root cause of your problems. This will not be a session where you are just expected to talk and I will just nod my head throughout. I will actually explore your thought processes, your past and present, your conscious and unconscious mind. It may seem at times like we are doing nothing more than having a good chat and it may seem a friendly experience, but I will actually be working hard to help you resolve your issue.
Sometimes we all feel a bit overwhelmed and sometimes we all need a little help to get past it
The human mind is very strong and usually, it deals with emotional stress on its own. This stress may be caused by our relationships, current circumstances or anything, really. We often deal with anxiety, stress and general emotional distress on a daily basis. But, there comes a point when all these issues add up or they trigger some unresolved issue from our past and no matter how hard we try, we can’t seem to resolve that conflict or negative feelings inside ourselves. When that happens, it’s time to seek out professional help.
If you feel like you have an emotional or behavioural issue that you can’t seem to resolve on your own, see a psychotherapist.
Types of therapy can be confusing to a lot of people
I use different methods depending on the issues presented and can offer any combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Hypnotherapy, hypnoanalysis, of course, transpersonal therapies (dream analysis, meditation and past life regression), and sometimes just plain listening skills. The therapy is tailored to the client and they will always be aware of what techniques I'm using. Everything will be done with the client’s 100% consent.
